3. What's happened to the drive-in theatre?

Due to the newest set of rules on schedules and intercity mobilization established by the Andalusian governement on November 9, the drive-in theatre cannot happen under the current conditions, but it will be take place as soon as possible. Some of the movies scheduled to show there have been moved to the cinema (new releases such as ‘Dragon Rider’, 'To your last death' or 'Submersible') while others (classics like ‘Reservoir Dogs’, ‘Back to the future’ or ‘What we do in the shadows’) are pending a future showing in the drive-in theatre or the Contenedor Cultural.

Some of these films, however, will be part of Filmin's online program.

4. Can I attend the festival if I live outside Málaga's municipality?

Sadly, unless you have your own document justifying access to Málaga, be it due to work, education or something else, it won't be possible for you to attend the screenings, and it makes us really sad for some of you to be affected by this measure, but we hope you will enjoy Filmin's online program.

There will also be some events streamed live online, such as the opening and closing ceremonies and the film score concert, for free on Fancine's Youtube channel.

5. What if I have a press credential?

In that case, your employer needs to be the one that gives you the document, as the press credential alone will not be enough.

6. If I already have a Filmin subscription, do I need to pay extra for the Fancine selection?

No! If you are already subscribed to Filmin, you can already enjoy Fancine movies.

7. What about the concerts and the events scheduled at the Contenedor Cultural?

Let's break it down bit by bit.

The concerts (Bromo, El altar del holocausto and Luna Vieja) have been cancelled, although some of them will be rescheduled for the Contenedor Cultural.

The comic workshop won't change its date, but it will happen form 16:00 to 18:00 on Friday 13 and 10:00 to 12:00 on Saturday 14.

The k-pop contest and Mu Teatro's performance will keep their dates (November 14 and 15 respectively) but will now happen at 12:00 in the morning.

8. Will there be a film score concert?

The concert will be closed to the public, but it will be live streamed on the festival's Youtube channel Friday 13 from 13:00.

9. Will there still be a family movie section?

Partially. Due to the drive-in theatre being rescheduled, some of those movies have gone to the Albéniz program. 'Dragon Rider' is one of them, which will be screened Sunday 15 at 12:00. 'The girl who leapt through time', as it is not a release date, will be screened when it is possible to do so at the drive-in theatre.

10. Will there be a CineAsia talk?

It will happen over Zoom, November 18 at 19:00, pending inscription.

11. What time can I buy my tickets?

Tickets will be available to buy from half an hour before the first showing to 5 to 10 minutes after the last one, from 11:00 to 12:30 and from 14:15 to 17:00.
